Chiropractic and Muscle Therapy of Delaware (CMTDE) was founded by Dr. Ron Carter D.C., LMT to satisfy Delaware's need for quality chiropractic care and massage therapy. We specialize in automobile, worker's compensation, and sports injuries.
Dr. Ron Carter was born and raised in Newark, Delaware. He began his career in healthcare as a licensed massage therapist (LMT) and over the years became highly accomplished and widely popular with a diverse clientele which includes professional athletes and performers helping them to improve their quality of life.
Wanting to improve himself, Ron began his pre-medical education. In 2015, he earned his doctorate from Sherman College of Chiropractic, located in Spartanburg, South Carolina. During clinical internship, Ron became specifically trained in Functional and Kinetic Treatment with Rehabilitation (FAKTR). He then spent the following year in a private practice in Greenville, South Carolina. In 2017, he returned to Delaware and spent a year practicing locally before opening Chiropractic and Muscle Therapy of Delaware (CMTDE) in February of 2018.
Dr. Carter created the Integrative Muscular Movement Technique (IMMT). IMMT is currently being utilized throughout the United States. He has had the distinguished honor of presenting to the National Institute of Health (NIH) and is an internationally published researcher and a soft tissue expert. Dr. Carter is also an adjunct professor of Biology at Delaware Technical and Community College (DTCC). While he feels that ongoing contributions to the scientific community in the field of musculoskeletal medicine is extremely important, Dr. Carter finds direct patient care to be exceedingly rewarding.
Teri Dickerson, LMT
Due to my passion to further help people, I enrolled at Academy of Massage and Body Work. I became a Licensed Massage Therapist in August 2011.
Through learning the art of massage, I realized I wanted to inspire others to become Massage Therapists. In 2014, I became a Faculty member at Academy of Massage and Body Work. Additionally, I established my own practice and see a variety of clients. In 2012, I wanted to expand my abilities to assist my clients and attended several Reiki classes. I obtained my Reiki Master 2014.
I have cultivated a wide range of Therapeutic modalities to include Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release Therapy, Deep Tissue Therapy, Hot Stones, cupping, deep tissue along with reflexology, Aroma Touch and Chakra Balancing. I specialize in Integrative Muscle Movement Technique (IMMT) where I am certified in Levels 1, 2 & 3.
Through the power of touch and intention, I use a personalized approach to my massage practice and mix modalities to create a total physical and energetic body healing.
