Meet Our Team
​Dr. Ron Carter D.C., CICE, LMT
​Dr. Carter was born and raised in Newark, Delaware. He began his career in healthcare as a licensed massage therapist (LMT) and over the years became highly accomplished and widely popular with a diverse clientele which includes professional athletes and performers helping them to improve their quality of life.
Wanting to improve himself, Ron began his pre-medical education. In 2015, he earned his doctorate from Sherman College of Chiropractic, located in Spartanburg, South Carolina. During clinical internship, Ron became specifically trained in Functional and Kinetic Treatment with Rehabilitation (FAKTR). He then spent the following year in a private practice in Greenville, South Carolina. In 2017, he returned to Delaware and spent a year practicing locally before opening Chiropractic and Muscle Therapy of Delaware (CMTDE) in February of 2018. Dr. Carter is board certified by the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners (ABIME) as a Certified Independent Chiropractic Examiner.
Dr. Carter created the Integrative Muscular Movement Technique (IMMT). IMMT is currently being utilized throughout the United States. He has had the distinguished honor of presenting to the National Institute of Health (NIH) and is an internationally published researcher and a soft tissue expert. Dr. Carter is also an adjunct professor of Biology at Delaware Technical and Community College (DTCC). While he feels that ongoing contributions to the scientific community in the field of musculoskeletal medicine is extremely important, Dr. Carter finds direct patient care to be exceedingly rewarding.
Teri Dickerson, LMT
Teri is a Licensed Massage Therapist since August 2011, she embarked on her journey to support others by enrolling at the Academy of Massage and Body Work due to her profound passion for helping people.

Discovering her calling in the art of massage, Teri's desire to inspire others led her to become a Faculty member at the Academy of Massage and Body Work in 2014. Alongside her teaching role, she established her private practice, catering to a diverse range of clients.

In 2012, Teri sought to enhance her abilities to assist clients, prompting her attendance in several Reiki classes. Her dedication resulted in her achieving the status of Reiki Master in 2014. Teri's expertise extends across various therapeutic modalities, encompassing Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release Therapy, Deep Tissue Therapy, Hot Stones, cupping, deep tissue, reflexology, Aroma Touch, and Chakra Balancing. Specializing in Integrative Muscle Movement Technique (IMMT), she holds certifications in Levels 1, 2, and 3.
Employing the power of touch and intention, Teri adopts a personalized approach in her massage practice, seamlessly blending modalities to foster complete physical and energetic body healing.
Yessenia Tolentino, LMT
Yessenia Tolentino is a lifelong student who who believes in the ability of cultivating one’s own knowledge and nourishing one’s mind, body, and spirit. In the fall of 2019, she embarked on a significant career journey into wellness by enrolling at the Academy of Massage & Bodywork. Yessenia achieved her Massage Therapist License in the fall of 2020.
Establishing her private practice in February 2021, Yessenia provides care for various conditions, offering a range of massage therapy modalities such as Swedish, Therapeutic, Hot Stone, Pre-Natal, Deep Tissue Massage, and trigger point therapy. Additionally, her services include Cupping, Reflexology, and Ear Candling. Driven by a passion for facilitating healing, she expanded her expertise to include Integrative Muscular Movement Technique (Levels 1, 2 & 3) and Lomi Lomi (traditional Hawaiian massage).
Yessenia holds the title of Certified Lymphedema Therapist, which encompasses certifications in Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Complete Decongestive Therapy, including compression bandage wrapping. Notably, she does not administer wound care. Furthermore, Yessenia is Worker's Compensation certified and proficient in both Spanish and English, making her services accessible to a diverse clientele.
